Them Before Us is a group that actually prioritizes kids' rights to a mom and a dad.
You know, that basic biological reality humanity has recognized since, uhh, forever.
(Liberals are, of course, freaking out about this.)
From the local ABC station:
Jeff Givan, a candidate for Ohio House District 78 and co-founder of the Lima Pride Alliance, said he believes the message targets the LGBTQ community.
'It just really astounds me that people can put things up that stir up so much hate,' Givan said.
Givan said he is concerned about the impact the billboard could have on children who see it.
'What bothers me about it is a child that sees this sign, and either asks their parent and gets either the hate-filled version… or they have to be explained why people feel this way… and children have enough issues they have to deal with,' he said.
It takes one man and one woman to make a baby?
Crazy talk!
Givan also floated the idea that this is all just election-year trickery to stir debate.
Them Before Us had thoughts:
In a Substack post, Them Before Us pushed back on criticism of the billboard, writing in part that a 'mother and a father are a fact, not a feeling' and that 'We do not get to rewrite words tied to a biological reality humanity has acknowledged for centuries because some adults want "family" to mean something new.'
Essentially: Be offended. Nobody cares.
This is simply the truth, and people deserve to know the truth.

Adoption and step-parenting have always existed to step in when tragedy strikes — and those are noble ways to do it.
But intentionally creating fatherless or motherless homes through technology and redefining family to suit adult desires? That's the part Them Before Us is calling out.
Kids aren't props for adult validation, folks.
