If ever you want to leave a Marxist utterly flailing, just ask them to explain their economic plans in any sort of detail.
Case in point: Watch what happens when New Yorker editor David Remnick asks Democratic Socialists of America national co-chair Megan Romer to explain what taxing the top 1% will look like:
Romer: ...we do believe in taxing the hell out of millionaires, yeah, absolutely.
Remnick: Well, what does "taxing the hell out of them" mean?
Romer: Uh, yeah, you know, I mean, I don't have a solid, like...
Remnick: But shouldn't you?
Romer: Umm...that's a good...that's a good question.
Socialists when you ask them to explain their basic domestic policy goals:
Romer did try to salvage the humiliating moment, describing the question as "democracy, right?" and claiming the government has to "look at what we need to spend, and what we need."
It was, as you surely saw, all gibberish. Socialists never have a plan beyond "take all of the money, enrich ourselves, ruin the economy and society." This has been proven time and time again, repeatedly, across countries and continents, for roughly a century.

When asked about "open borders," Romer gave a similarly gibberish-laden answer:
Romer: [These policy points] are all part of this long term goal where we are putting huge amounts of resources into alleviating poverty, into stopping destabilization of countries internationally that are causing a huge migrant flow. Most [illegal immigrants] in the U.S. are here because of a prior period of unrestricted immigration or of much looser immigration. We're not saying throw the gates open. We're saying, let's ... look at where the system is really flawed, really problematic.
Remnick: I think that's called "immigration reform."
Pretty sure the only thing socialists are ever sure of is they want to seize everything and watch the economy burn.
