I don't know about you, but I've had a pretty exhausting week — but not as exhausting as this Filipino fisherman's battle with an octopus.
Nightmare fuel!
Hard to believe that's a real video, but it is.
It happened last month in the waters off the Philippine island of Palawan. Local fisherman Jesser Cervantes reeled in this octopus on July 10, and the New York Post says he used a bamboo club to knock some sense into that octopus, which seemed to be what got it off.
Many people are wondering why the cameraman didn't help. The answer is that we live in 2026 and anglers with GoPros don't tend to bring cameramen onto their fishing kayaks. 😂
