Time to check in on our totally secure and not-at-all-corrupt election system and political parties.

Michigan journalist Charlie LeDuff, who formerly worked at The New York Times and The Detroit News, decided to visit this 88-year-old woman to ask why she's made nearly 15,000 donations to Democrats in the last 5 years:

You'll note that resident Elizabeth Waffle is living in a trailer because her house burned down.

LeDuff: 'Did you make 15,000 donations in 5 years? $150,000?'

Waffle: 'A hundred and fifty? Hell no. I don't have that kind of money.'

Her house burned down two years ago and she's been living in a camper since.

She wasn't even sure if she had enough money to pay the guy who was coming to mow the fields of weeds around the camper!

More from The Washington Times:

According to Federal Election Commission records, 88-year-old Elizabeth Waffle has been giving nearly nonstop to the Democratic fundraising juggernaut ActBlue since 2020 for a total of more than $150,000 in donations.

But Ms. Waffle, who lives in a trailer down a dirt road in Milan, Michigan, said she doesn't believe she made all of those donations. 'One hundred and fifty thousand? Hell no, I don't have that kind of money,' Ms. Waffle told Michigan Enjoyer reporter Charlie LeDuff, who video-recorded his interview.

Hold on just one minute here.

You're trying to tell me that ActBlue might not be honest?

The donations in her name are documented by the FEC and are small amounts ranging from as low as 66 cents to $30.

Most of the money went to ActBlue, but she is also recorded as having made 15 donations to Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, 104 donations to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, New York Democrat, and 339 donations to the Democratic political action committee 314 Action Fund.

Ms. Waffle, a Democrat who said she donated to Mr. El-Sayed, told Mr. LeDuff she doesn't own a computer and has spotty internet. She questioned whether the donations were 'all mine.'

According to the records, Waffle made 21 donations on May 30, and another 18 donations the following day. In all, 14,696 donations were made to ActBlue in Waffle's name.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is currently investigating ActBlue for allegedly failing to avoid receiving fraudulent campaign donations. Shockingly, ActBlue's legal counsel is claiming the records in question are protected under attorney-client privilege.

Because of course they are.

If you want more about how this local Michigan story connects to vast national fraud, here is an excellent report from retired Army combat medic Mike Bski:
