Well, this is surprising ... okay, I guess it's not that surprising.
Serial killer James Desborough has been given two whole life prison sentences with no chance of parole - as police revealed they are looking into four unexplained deaths at the homeless shelter that housed him.
Desborough, already serving a minimum of 19 years for the murder of his prison cellmate, was given the whole life tariffs for killing 57-year-old Claudio Aquilino and Daniel Coleman, 43, in Cornwall.
Aquilino and Coleman met Desborough at Newquay's Sandy Lodge homeless shelter, where police are now reviewing the unexplained deaths of two other men and two women.
Yep that sounds like a serial killer.

The surprising-not-surprising part, meanwhile, is that, per The Independent, Desborough was "a fan of TV serial killer Dexter;" he reportedly told an investigator that he "particularly enjoyed the dismemberment scenes" in the television show.
I'm gonna assume nobody at all was surprised when this guy ended up being a multiple murderer. In his killing of Aquilino and Coleman around April and June of last year, he reportedly dismembered the two men and then used their credit cards to attempt to make them seem still alive.
Police had to go digging through the swampy woods near Desborough's cabin to find the remains of the two men:

The subsequent murder that Desborough committed in prison, meanwhile, occurred in September of last year.
Maybe just a gentle warning that people who enjoy "dismemberment scenes" in serial killer shows might be rather dangerous.
