I have to think Stephen A. is saying this for the clicks, but I honestly think there will be people out there who actually think this.
More context:
I'm gonna give you guys a hint here: The Knicks are up 2-0 in the series, so any betting man would be right to throw down a few bucks on the Spurs tonight even though the Knicks are favorites (barely).
When you're down 2-0, you play your butt off. When you're up 2-0, you try to play your butt off, but you also know it doesn't matter if you lose.
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani will be attending Game 3 as well, but I don't hear Stephen A. getting mad about that. This is probably due to the fact that he wouldn't get as many clicks for that take.
Sounds like Mamdani spent a socialist's fortune on the ticket.
They've got it all blocked off for these two guys, who will be buddies by the end of the night, mark my words.
Hear me out: if the Knicks win tonight and they go up 3-0 in the best-of-seven series, it'll somehow be Trump's fault that the Spurs lost and Mamdani's luck that the Knicks won.
The world of sports media is just that predictable.
