The world we live in, folks!

No kidding, a new Realtor.com analysis reveals that a whopping 25.2 million Americans aged 18-34 are currently crashing in their childhood bedrooms.

That's roughly one in three young adults!

And it's a record high!

From The Hill:

After ticking down from its pandemic peak, the share of 18- to 34-year-olds living with their parents has climbed back to 33 percent, up 6 percentage points over the past two decades.

And get this — it's not because they're all unemployed basement dwellers playing video games. Nope. Roughly 70% of the 25-34 crowd living at home have jobs. Steady jobs, even.

Experts, of course, are blaming the "housing affordability crisis."

Median home prices are at $430,000 (up 34% since 2019), rents are skyrocketing, there's a massive supply shortage, and student debt is higher than ever.

At some point these kids gotta start adulting, but the world seems to have made the entry point to adulthood impossible unless you are a millionaire. Who knows when that will be.
