As you can see, it's not just the Jim Crow stuff that New Yorkers are worried about here. Many worry that the mom & pop bodegas will still be put out of business even though the communist grocery stores don't sell alcohol, tobacco, or hot food.
And many will undoubtedly be targeted by these Jim-Crow-on-steroids "library-card-esque" ID checks — especially, ahem, minorities.
