Yes, the Philippines' Alexandra Eala avenged a past defeat (in the 2025 Eastbourne Open final) and blazed her way into the third round of Wimbledon on Thursday, becoming the first woman from her country to achieve the feat in a Grand Slam tournament.
The performance apparently marks a historic milestone for Philippine sports. Eala, already the first Filipina to win a match at Wimbledon earlier in the tournament, now stands as her nation's trailblazer on the sport's biggest stage.
And she did this all while smoking "Joint."
For real, Eala overcame Australia's Maya Joint in a thrilling second-round matchup, rallying from a set down to win 3-6, 6-2, 6-0.
She smoked Joint at Wimbledon, and that's something everyone can enjoy!
