Baltimore took down four unity monuments of Confederates, which commemorated the Civil War, during the woke era around 2017.

But now the city has taken the statues back.

The statues are, via the Baltimore Sun,

  • The statue of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson that previously stood outside the Wyman Park Dell.

  • The statue is missing Lee's scabbard. The Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument that once stood on Mount Royal Avenue. After it was removed, vandals chopped off an arm and a Confederate flag and doused the whole thing with bright red paint.

  • The Confederate Women's Monument, which was near University Parkway and Charles Street, shows a large bare spot on the figure's left shoulder.

  • The Roger B. Taney Monument, previously in Mount Vernon Square, appeared to be undamaged.

More from the Baltimore Sun:

'The Confederate monuments are back in Baltimore,' Lauren Schiszik, executive director of the city Commission for Historical and Architectural Preservation, told commissioners during a June 9 briefing session.

They brought the monuments back to the city, and they apparently have to warn citizens that the scary statues are back.

They had been in Los Angeles as part of a "monuments exhibit" that showcased scary, racist, and unwoke statues. But the city is taking their donation back.

'They are being stored in a secure facility. We will not be disclosing their location.'

She added that Mayor Brandon Scott is 'preparing a statement' about the return of the monuments, which most recently were on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles as part of its 'Monuments' exhibit.

Online, with just the Sun's headline, many are choosing to believe that the statues are being restored to their former and rightful prominence.

That is not a jack-o'-lantern, that's a melting Robert E. Lee statue.

Baltimore hasn't said what they'll be doing with the statues, but they aren't disclosing their location because the nutzos on the left might finish the job.

They're at least sensible enough to hide the statues from the BLM and Antifa types who would no doubt want to finish their historical erasure mission.

But don't get your hopes up, it doesn't appear that the statues are being fully restored anytime soon.
