Are we approaching "it's happening and it's good" when it comes to late-term abortion?
After Massachusetts became the 10th state this week to allow abortions up until the moment of birth, you have to wonder.
Interviewer Michael Shermer: 'Do you ever get any women in their second half of the second trimester or in the third trimester that say they have no medical problems. They just don't want the baby. They change their mind. Would you do it?'
Dr. Warren Hern: 'Well of course. If a woman doesn't want to be pregnant, there's no justification for forcing her to continue the pregnancy.'
Shermer: Okay. Has that happened?'
Hern: 'Of course. Happens all the time. She has a potentially fatal illness/condition that can kill her.'
(The safest way to protect a mother who needs to give birth due to medical issues is to deliver the baby.)
Shermer: 'No, no, I mean if she has no medical problems.'
Dr. Warren Hern: 'The medical problem is that she's pregnant.'
So we've got:
Late-term abortions happen all the time.
They're sometimes elective and not due to the rape/incest excuse.
Pregnancy is a medical problem.
Got it!
Glad to know baby killers think pregnancy is a "medical problem"!
This line might be the worst of all:
I've had patients coming to me from all over the country since I opened my practice. And that's been especially true since I've developed the techniques, and instruments and procedure for doing the later abortions, which are much more difficult and take a lot more expertise and experience.
What an innovator!
By the way, NBC News made a darling out of Warren Hern leading up to the 2024 election:
Mr. Hern says 60% or more of his patients were coming from Texas, and about 80% were coming from other, mostly red, states.
What's more, contrary to the above statements from Mr. Hern, we were being told as recently as May that he didn't do elective abortions in the third trimester.
Yeah, uhh...
Well, now we know, "Doctor" Hern.
