You've probably never met Tlaleng Mofokeng, Special Rapporteur on the right to health at the UN. But there's no time like the present.
[You can skip about a third of the way into that video to see UN Watch's response to Mofokeng's comments.]
A health expert and licensed physician!
🤣🤣🤣
I gotta say, it doesn't look like anyone's been pillaging her resources!
Yes, Mofokeng, one of the BBC's 100 Women in 2021, is a human rights expert at the United Nations, and she thinks people are unhealthy because somebody is carrying out a "pillaging of resources."
And how should we fix that whole "pillaging of resources"?
With "anti-racist, anti-colonial, and dignity-based approaches."
Translation: Fix it with communism, but I'm not going to call it communism because I'm a communist and if you knew I was a communist pushing communism you'd think I was crazy.
Yeah, we see right through it, lady!
And if you didn't see it, go back and watch UN Watch's response to Mofokeng.
From their website:
At the UN Human Rights Council, UN health rapporteur Tlaleng Mofokeng presented her final report, receiving praise from South Africa, Palestine, The Arab Group, and multiple NGO's including Amnesty International. However, UN Watch's recent report, From Watchdogs to Idealogues, exposed her unprofessionalism and ideological radicalism. Hillel Neuer took the floor to call out her misconduct.
Mofokeng's job is to gather, request, receive, and exchange information on every global citizen's right to the "highest attainable standard of physical and mental health." The focus, of course, includes all the usual vulnerable groups: indigenous peoples, migrants, the poor, minorities, disabled folks, detainees, drug users, and LGBT/gender diverse persons. Because nothing says "health" like turning it into a comprehensive social justice checkbox.
So yes, of course an anti-racist communist thinks some flying spaghetti capitalist at the New York Stock Exchange is "pillaging the resources" (whatever that means) and she wants to fix it with communism dressed up as anti-racism.
