I guess you could say she's sounding the alarm?

Nice to see the liberal white women are still taking their SSRIs.

This took place this week in Venice at the city's 61st Art Biennale, one of the world's most "prestigious" modern art events. Austrian artist Florentina Holzinger created an exhibit at the Austrian Pavilion called "Seaworld Venice" to warn humanity that climate change is going to destroy us all.

From The Art Newspaper:

Long before she was accidentally mining 1990s Hollywood flops, Holzinger was making a name for herself with works of performance art so visceral and in-your-face that audience members were fainting with shock. Her 2019 body horror ballet Tanz premiered in Vienna with content warnings for nudity, blood, needles, strobes and graphic violence. People walked out, some even passed out. Eighteen people were treated for severe nausea after attending 2024 performances of her opera Sancta in Stuttgart. By combining nudity, real sex, live piercing, bodily fluids and heavy machinery (including motorbikes and, in 2022's Ophelia's Got Talent, an actual helicopter), Holzinger has managed not only to turn stomachs and gain notoriety, but to leave behind the shackles of choreography and theatre and find acceptance in the world of contemporary performance art.

I suppose by comparison, hanging upside-down naked in a bell is pretty tame to her usual stuff?

For Seaworld Venice, the themes are apocalyptic. The work functions as an underwater theme park, sewage treatment plant and sacred building, imagining Venice as a flooded metropolis, the water level so high that dry land disappears and sewage seeps into daily life. There will be live performers present throughout the seven-month duration of the installation, playing characters in this watery nightmare world who are totally dependent on technology for their survival.

The official webpage for the exhibit tells visitors to "Live In Your P*ss." The reason for this is that part of the exhibit is an underground water tank where naked performers swim in the urine of visitors. Not a joke!

The exhibit features toilets and urinals where the waste of guests is filtered, then pumped into the tank with the "artists."

And we thought we had already reached peak climate-wacko.

Apparently there are still new levels to be achieved!
