I know you're not supposed to point guns at people, but they never really clarified if this applies to people who warm up fish in the office microwave.

Michael Debiase, 46, a detective with the Myrtle Beach Police Department, was hit with a charge of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person in the June 2 incident, according to an arrest warrant.

‘The alleged incident involved Debiase removing his department-issued firearm from its holster while in the PD briefing room and pointing it at another officer,' the MBPD said in a statement announcing it had 'separated employment' from the allegedly trigger-happy officer.

In South Carolina, the penalty for this felony crime is a fine (determined by the court) or a prison term of no more than five years. For context, the court probably hasn't heard of the fish-in-the-microwave rule.

What's more, we don't even know if the gun was loaded — though it better have been; we're talking fish in the microwave here.
