It's happening, and it's a good thing.

We've really moved on to "it's happening, and it's good."

No joke, Hochul recently announced in a press conference that New York will be writing a $7.25 million check to cover legal representation for around 1,400 unaccompanied migrant children who are currently facing removal proceedings. Of course, Zohran Mamdani and Letitia James were also at this press conference.

Not their first rodeo:

Yeah, uhh...

Hochul invoked a 2008 Bush-era law.

From that NYP article:

‘It's cruel. It's illegal. And for nearly two decades our federal government required by law that these children be protected when they cross the border,' Hochul railed.

The Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008, passed during President George W. Bush's tenure, required the US government to provide legal representation for kids in deportation proceedings.

Democrats, please, please, please keep doing things like this for the next two or three months!
