On Monday, a young man who works at the U.S. Navy's MWR Marina in Panama City went for a swim with a coworker during his lunch break.

That's when the shark attacked.

[This video isn't super graphic but be warned that it's intense]

According to WJHG, the attack happened around 11:45 a.m. and the man survived, though he was rushed to the hospital with injuries to both arms.

Tristan Oliveria, commanding officer for Naval Support Activity Panama City, said the victim is an employee in his 20s who has worked at the base over four years.

'First and foremost, our prayers and thoughts go out to the family, and we want to send our appreciation to the first responders who rendered initial aid and made sure that the victim was properly and expeditiously taken to HCA Gulf Coast Hospital, and we continue to have the safety of all our personnel paramount in all the operations we do on base,' said Oliveria.

The base is a major training center for diving and salvage work.

No word on whether officials could possibly track the shark, or what species it is (a tiger shark is the most likely culprit, especially given how the attack occurred close to shore).

If any Florida Men do come across the bloodthirsty creature, you know what to do!
