Yes, Josh Kendrick, the federal defense attorney representing suspect Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr., is running for the House of Representatives in South Carolina's Democratic primary, which will be held on June 9.
Not a great look for Democrats!
(Though, they are the party that constantly tells us murder is okay, so this guy might have an edge among Democrat voters!)
You won't be surprised that Kendrick is not a believer in the death penalty, even twisting Scripture in his argument against it. He's also a supporter of abortion, because of course.
To be fair, Kendrick didn't choose to represent Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr. It's just the luck of the draw.
But it is the perfect encapsulation of the Democratic Party that the lawyer for last year's most famous slasher is now running for office as a Democrat.
What a time to be alive!
