This does seem to happen with unusual frequency, doesn't it?
More on the narrowly averted disaster from FOX 5 in Las Vegas:
Authorities from multiple agencies announced the recent arrest of a suspect in connection with a terrorism-related investigation.
Police said Allison Howlett, 36, faces multiple felony charges, including allegedly making threats related to an act of terrorism.
Henderson Police said dispatchers received a 911 call around 9:38 a.m. Saturday, June 27, about a domestic dispute.
The caller reported Howlett stole her car and that it was loaded with firearms, and said the suspect made threats about 'suicide by cop' and a possible mass shooting.
It turns out that this "Allison Howlett" is a dude pretending to be a woman, but you wouldn't know that from reading the fake news.

Police said Howlett initially refused commands to get out while music played loudly inside the vehicle. Officers blocked the car in to prevent Howlett from leaving, then took the suspect into custody after rolling down the window when reaching for water.
During the struggle, Howlett was tased once, police add.
(Too bad it was only once.)

A search of the guy's car and home showed he may have been planning something really, really bad.
Police said a search of the vehicle recovered 22 firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and a search of the suspect's Henderson residence recovered 30 more firearms, along with suppressors and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
The average American should own thousands of rounds of ammo, and 50+ guns is what we call a good start.
But I want to know how a mentally unstable guy who fancies himself a lady got ahold of an .50-caliber M2 Browning machine gun:

Rumor on the street is that Howlett was dating someone who had run a gun business at some point and had collected some trinkets for himself.
Bail for "Allison" Howlett was set at $500,000.
He's due back in court in a couple of weeks, and crazy or not, he's innocent until proven guilty. Police do have audio of him threatening to commit a mass shooting in 2024, however.
