Jordan Salinas saw a man shooting at staff and customers in the parking lot of an In-N-Out and decided to stop the bad guy with his FN hand cannon.

(Suppressed, of course.)

Police have not stated whether Jordan's return fire hit the bad guy (a 24-year-old doofus named Chad Williams), who killed three people and injured seven more.

Jordan did, however, spook Chad enough to chase him off. He then provided assistance to the victims until an ambulance arrived, letting the cops chase Chad (who apparently died by self-deletion).

Lane Koehn, 34, was at a stoplight just outside the fast-food restaurant when he saw a person with an AR-style rifle emerge from the drive-thru. Bullets struck a car in front of him, and Koehn watched the shooter move through the drive-thru toward his own car, he told NBC News.

'I could tell he was trying to figure out where to go, and somebody in the drive-thru line with a handgun was shooting at him,' Koehn said.

He described the shooter as 'panicked,' looking around and moving 'kind of erratically.' Koehn believes the armed bystander kept the gunman from shooting at more people.

'The shooter was solely focused on him, and [it] allowed us to get out,' Koehn said. 'I mean, the car directly ahead of me was getting shot — it gave them time to leave.'

Another good guy, off-duty state trooper Austin James, also engaged the shooter and was hit by return fire. His father Marcus says his wife helped him apply a tourniquet and quickly got him to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Koehn says Jordan stayed with a wounded In-N-Out employee until paramedics arrived.

She had been shot in the chest and did not survive.

Less than two years before he had to spring into action, Jordan posted this:

Jordan, 35, regularly posted videos of his training regimen under the YouTube channel "Poverty Operator."

Jordan often trains with FN's Five-Seven, which uses a unique (and pricey!) 5.7×28mm round. Most handguns (9mm, .380 Auto, .40 S&W) do not use bottlenecked cartridges, which have higher pressures (thus more force and faster velocity). FN designed the 5.7 round in 1990 after NATO requested a replacement for 9mm. It is also used in FN's P90 (the machine gun featured above).

Jordan told the Idaho Statesman he was on his way to ride horses with his girlfriend when he pulled into In-N-Out at 2:30, just as the first shots were being fired.

Salinas ran toward it — an 'automatic' response, 'mechanical,' he'd say later. The last thing he remembers hearing was his girlfriend shouting his name — 'Jordan!' — and then the shooting started again.

Salinas is a healthcare worker, the full-time caregiver of his wheelchair-bound brother. He began training seriously after a 2021 shooting at the Boise Towne Square mall killed two people and injured several more. Gunmen, he said, went after 'soft targets.'

Jordan spent the next 5 years running military drills he studied online, traveling to the desert outside the town of Eden to discipline himself in case he would ever need to protect the innocent.

As soon as Jordan's name was known, patriots across the internet started asking how they could support him. His YouTube channel jumped from a few dozen subscribers to almost 60,000 as of Monday morning.

On Sunday night, Jordan shared this message with everyone who had thanked him:
