Much like a headbutt, no one really wins in a machete fight.
That was a lesson that Florida men James Gay and Everette Krichbabum learned in the parking lot of a Panama City Publix grocery store.

ABC 7 News reports,
The affidavit states Gay claimed he went back to his car after the verbal argument and grabbed a machete after seeing Krichbabum holding a hatchet.
Gay told investigators that he had the opportunity to leave the scene but chose to stay due to ‘personal pride.'
When Gay came at Krichbabum with the machete, Krichbabum allegedly grabbed a knife that remained in its sheath. The affidavit says Gay hit Krichbabum in the face with the machete while it was still in its sheath, leading to a struggle over both weapons.
In the end, Gay hit Krichbabum in the head and knocked him unconscious, but police had to take both men to the hospital for injuries to their hands.
Unsurprisingly, this wasn't Gay's first run-in with the law either, as he was a member of a Vampire Cult that killed 16-year-old Jacob Hendershot in 2011.
Yes, that says Vampire Cult.
Both men were arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
