Welcome to California, folks, where a biological male high school senior named AB Hernandez just "swept" the girls' long jump, high jump, and triple jump at the CIF Southern Section finals.

As coaches entered the stadium, a letter was handed to them stating that a 'pilot entry process' would be in place:

'Under the pilot entry process, any cisgender [biological] female student-athlete who would have earned the next qualifying mark for one of the CIF-Southern Section's qualifying entries is extended an opportunity to participate in the next stage of qualifying for the 2026 CIF State Track and Field Championships.'

It's dumb, but at least it's a tad bit more honest? 🤷‍♂️

If you aren't aware of this Hernandez kid, he's been scooping up all the 1st-place awards in track meets across California. He seems to really enjoy putting the girls in their place.

This co-first-place policy is an attempt to acknowledge that the playing field is unequal, but it's basically affirmative action for people who lost to a dude in a sports bra.

After all, the girl still placed second. They just gave her a diluted first-place medal and sent her to state ... where she'll once again lose to a boy.
