In our original story, we quoted local San Antonio outlet WOAI, also known as News 4.
Their tweet about the giraffe being found is still up as of Thursday, June 25:

...the hunt for the missing giraffe has spawned a legion of phony claims from people who say they've seen the missing critter, or have actually found her, or that Gracie has been caught and safely returned to Cedar Hollow Ranch in Leakey, the private game reserve where Gracie lives.
Vick Jones, who manages the ranch, and Real County Sheriff Nathan Johnson both say none of those reports are true.
Gracie is still missing, and her owners continue to offer $5,000 for her safe return.
'No, she is not back home,' Jones said. 'Those reports are people having fun with the Internet.'
The fake reports are coming from 'keyboard morons,' Johnson said.
It doesn't help that people are sharing AI videos left and right.
