You know there are some "chocolate people" who prefer things the way they used to be in Egypt. Like that fellow on the Supreme Court who wants to take us back to making bricks with no straw ... I don't understand how black people who got appointed to that bench where it obviously both their color and their credentials that moved that president to put them there would turn around and look at all future generations of black people and say we ought to go back to making bricks with no straw.
Shame on you, Uncle Clarence Thomas, for writing in a concurrent opinion that you want to take us back! ... I don't want segregated water fountains! I don't want water hoses and dogs! Our people fought too hard!
This is all because Clarence Thomas pointed out the word "temporary" in Temporary Protected Status (TPS) means ... temporary.
Just by the way.
Black people are returning to slavery, getting the water cannons, and Jim Crow because Clarence Thomas is an Uncle Tom for rightly interpreting the constitution of the United States.
The man who was raised by his sharecropper grandparents wants to return us to slavery according to Charlie Dates.
Meg Basham has some more background info on Dates. Apparently he's the sort of "above politics" pastor that Russell Moore and Raymond Chang, in their "After Party" church curriculum, think we need to emulate in our churches.
Yeah, I'm sure he felt the SBC was racist if he also thinks Clarence Thomas is an Uncle Tom.
That actually tracks.
I'm glad JD Greear, Russell Moore, and that wing of Christianity are happy associating with this sort of "pastor."
