We knew the SPLC was a bloated, hypocritical grift machine that labeled everyone from concerned parents to literal cartoon frogs as "hate groups" while raking in hundreds of millions from terrified liberals.

But this? This is next-level!

It's almost like you need to have Nazi connections in order to work for the SPLC!

A top SPLC official — now believed to be longtime "Intelligence Project" director Heidi Beirich — allegedly funneled a staggering $1.2 million in donor money to her neo-Nazi lover, an informant embedded in the National Alliance white supremacist group. They were paying a dude to be a Nazi, and this lady was dating him.

And yes, they shared a house. And joint bank accounts. And they used the cash for personal living expenses.

According to a DOJ indictment, "Employee-2" (Beirich) was in a full-blown romantic relationship with "F-9," who infiltrated the National Alliance. Between 2015 and 2021, around $140,000 of donor money flowed directly into their joint accounts.

And get this, Beirich reportedly wrote a 2015 Hatewatch article based on documents stolen from the National Alliance headquarters. Then the SPLC allegedly paid another guy $6,000 to take the fall for the burglary.

More context from the article:

Beirich had joined the SPLC in 1999 and became director of the Intelligence Project in 2012. She left in 2019 as part of a massive shake-up, when many top brass departed amid accusations of racism and sexual harassment, with the group mainly being run by white people and black people in its lower ranks. Beirich was not publicly implicated in those scandals.

Beirich was pulling in about $190,000 per year, by the way.

More:

Alabama-based SPLC has been charged with wire fraud, bank fraud, and money laundering conspiracy for allegedly engaging "in the active promotion of racist groups at the same time that the SPLC was denouncing the same groups on its website," acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel announced on April 21.

Patel charged that far from using spies to dismantle the hate groups, the SPLC gave them over $4 million to keep promoting their ideologies, thus giving them something to point out and seek donors to fight against. The nonprofit has amassed some $800 million to do so, its publicly released nonprofit accounting shows.

So with this fraudulent racism came at least two people (allegedly) who just took advantage of the money and kept using fake racism to get rich.

We've known for a while that racism sells, but man, I didn't realize how rich people were getting off of it.

Great work, SPLC!
