Nashville, which I'm sure has a tremendous graduation rate, is in the headlines after multiple teachers who stood up to the school board have been reprimanded for not skewing grades to help pass students along.

One momma harassed the school district until they gave her baby a passing grade, and it got so bad that this award-winning teacher resigned from her job.
The news reports that behavioral issues are down, they are not. We are simply banned from reporting them, forcing us to keep disruptive students in the classroom. Statistics are being skewed to protect the district, not our children.
Our children cannot read or write. They cannot do basic math.
This is happening all over the nation. Teachers are being pressured into giving kids passing grades because it makes the schools look better (a win for administrators who want more federal tax dollars) and it makes parents happy.

Nashville, despite being in a conservative state, is suffering from the same problems. Public education has become a cash cow and a money/credential laundering operation that allows schools to be run like a literal mafia.
