I thought this was America??
Yep, one Minnesotan's "get off my lawn!" moment may see him facing jail time.

Kyle James Steffen got tired of kids riding their bikes through his yard to get to a park, so he laid down a long plastic strip with 3-inch screws, hoping to blow out their tires or impale one of the pesky juveniles.
Police discovered the spike strip when a neighbor called about Steffen harassing her children.
KARE11 reports,
The complaint states officers spoke to Steffen, who admitted placing the device ‘to keep kids off of his lawn' and that he had previously yelled at the kids many times, but they still rode through his yard ‘out of spite.' Steffen also allegedly told officers he did not mean to injure anyone, only scare them, but the complaint noted he ‘seemed frustrated the device was not effective in keeping kids off of his lawn.'
Steffen is charged with one gross misdemeanor count of setting a spring gun/pitfall/deadfall or snare, which carries a potential maximum sentence of 180 days in prison or a $1,000 fine.
The most unbelievable part of this story is that children were out riding their bikes to a park.
Are we living in the 1980s all of a sudden?
