I gotta be honest, I didn't expect the Lord's chicken to be dethroned like this.

Love it or hate it, the results are in.

From that Fox News link:

America's favorite fast-food chicken chain has been knocked from the top spot in a closely watched customer satisfaction ranking.

Chick-fil-A, which topped the annual American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) in 2025, fell to second place this year.

Jersey Mike's claimed first place, with an ACSI score of 84 out of 100, edging Chick-fil-A's 83.

Talk about a photo finish!

In 2026, the 16,000-customer survey showed that Jersey Mike's hot and fresh sandwiches were just too much for Chick-fil-A's chicken goodness to overcome.

This is the first time in 10 years that Chick-fil-A has been out of the top spot.

The report credited Jersey Mike's with maintaining high customer satisfaction while rapidly expanding its restaurant footprint.

'Jersey Mike's ACSI success is consistent with their business performance, including rapid unit growth, strong customer demand, and a model designed around throughput and off-premise convenience from high digital pickup usage,' the study noted.

The digital ordering and pickup system is among the best in the biz.

(They probably got that one extra point from the "customer" who stole my pickup order from the counter the other day. But that's neither here nor there.)

The ACSI added that the chain's menu is 'fairly narrow, and they have a model conducive to franchisee success.'

Breaking news: It's pretty easy to make a sandwich!
