On Tuesday just after noon, a dispute over a parking spot at a North Lauderdale, Florida, Walmart led to this:
They're still not naming the woman who shot the guy.
The man who was shot is Bart DiGuglielmo: 62-year-old retired Army Staff Sergeant, combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm, former combat nurse and medic. He's also a Christian man, and a good guy who "would not hurt anyone," according to his grieving sister. He's a New Jersey native living his post-service life in Florida.
Her defense? Self-defense, naturally.
And this is Florida, so it's hard to say which way this one will go.
Bart's daughter, Amanda, says she had been estranged from her father for quite some time, but he'd moved down to Florida three years ago to be closer to her and hopefully revive the relationship.
Sadly, that won't be possible anymore.
