You love to see it.
Yes, a group of Broward County high school students was driving along Flamingo Road back in April, ready to go fishing, when they spotted a guy pulled over with a flat tire. Naturally, being decent human beings, they pulled over to help the stranger, 65-year-old Diego Fernández-Delgado.
Logan Royer, Cody Magrone, and Brody Murray are only teenagers, but they noticed something off about Mr. Delgado.
While they were being productive members of society, they notice Mr. Fernández-Delgado starting to look pale, getting real quiet, and hunching over trying to catch his breath. The boys didn't freeze, didn't pull out their phones to film it for TikTok, and didn't wait around hoping someone else would handle it. They immediately called 911.
I love this from NBC Miami:
According to authorities, Fernández-Delgado was suffering a heart attack, and the teens' quick response likely saved his life.
While many of today's youth are glued to screens, obsessed with pronouns, or too fragile to function, these Florida boys were out here changing tires and saving lives.
Props to these kids. The man they helped is alive because they chose to be good people that day.
I'll leave this here:
