Six police officers were injured. Five of them were critically hurt in a single instance where a black male drove a car into them. He has now been arrested and charged.

At approximately 2:51 a.m., the deputy chief notified dispatchers that westbound Roosevelt Road was being reopened, according to police radio transmissions. About three minutes later, witnesses said a westbound vehicle traveling on Roosevelt slammed into a crowd of people at Loomis Street.
[Justin] Peters said he saw five officers ‘in the air' as the car struck them. CPD said 13 people were charged with crimes related to the incident.
