Tell me you're a conquered country without telling me you're a conquered country.

England is installing public squatty potties for all the foreign visitors — and new arrivals, of course — who prefer the more ... natural method of going to the toilet.

From the Daily Mail:

A Labour council in Cambridge has installed squat toilets said to be favoured by international visitors and are charging users £1 per visit.

The public toilets - which include three 'squat-style flushing toilets' - on Silver Street, opposite Queens' College at the University of Cambridge, cost Cambridge City Council £1million to build ...

The council said the style of toilet was 'preferred by some international visitors'.

A million bucks on new squat toilets that English people don't even use. It's just for foreigners.

But, hey, at least they're charging them £1 per squat.

Heather Boyd, from the nearby village of Orwell, told the BBC: 'I certainly think if I'm going to spend £1, I'm not going to squat as well. That is absolutely crazy.'

'I'd much rather they built just a normal set of toilets and charged nothing, than one really slick one and charged a pound,' the 60-year-old added.

But have you considered that nothing can be done well for the native population and that every decision has to be made with foreigners in mind?

What a bigot.

The City Council clarified in a statement that not ALL of the toilets are the squatting kind.

13 different toilets are available in total.

  • Below street level, the main redeveloped toilet area offers six seated toilets, three urinals, and three squat-style toilets that many of the international visitors using the facilities will prefer

  • At street level on the bridge, there is a wheelchair accessible seated toilet.

Still, locals aren't happy with the £1-million project which charges you to use the public toilet.

Needless to say, this is a crappy situation for Cambridge.
