Back on July 25, Ryder saved 10-year-old Nathaniel Rai from potentially drowning at Seabright State Beach in Santa Cruz, California.
An undertow from a large wave took Rai under, dragging him 50 feet out into the water.
The undercurrent was stronger on that day due to a hurricane to the south. The rest is history that can be watched over and over in the above video.
