Millennials and Gen Z all these folks that come after us are looking up, and we're like, 'The world is gonna end in 12 years if we don't address climate change, and your biggest issue is how we're gonna pay for it?'
The applause in AOC's audience shows that this was not a fringe statement among her supporters.
This was a mainstream climate doomsday prophecy.
Greta Thunberg famously said a similar thing in 2018 (a tweet she has now deleted).
So, if AOC truly believed that, we need to do some math.
2019 + 12 = 2031.
Since we didn't give all our money to the government to stop the Sun Monster, people have questions about AOC's recent life decisions.
Last week, AOC went viral for a video where she injected herself with hormones to start the egg-freezing process (she is now 36 years old and has split from her long-time fiancé).
But if AOC really believes this line about the end of the world, freezing her eggs seems totally pointless, right? Aren't we all doomed?
And another question ... how is she going to run for president in 2028?
