I've seen fans get hit by foul balls and baseball bats, but I've never seen a cleat to the face.

The dude gets hit by the ball, which is bad enough, but then he took a cleat to the face.

This happened in San Diego on Saturday when Athletics 2B Jeff McNeil tried — and failed — to field a foul ball just outside of the playing field. He didn't catch the ball. He did, however, plant his spikes directly into that older gentleman's cheek.

According to witnesses, the man shrugged it off with a classic "I'm okay," left briefly, then returned to his seat later in the game to a nice ovation, complete with a gift bag from the Padres.
