THANK YOU, CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!

A 5 INVESTIGATES review of federal fraud charges against 106 people found 92 names of Somali descent - 87% of defendants linked to investigations of Feeding our Future, autism treatment, housing stabilization, and other safety net programs.

I'm surprised that number is ONLY 9 out of 10 fraudsters!

KSTP spent an untold amount of time digging in to the most obvious fact in all of Minnesota crime history.

But don't worry, KSTP is here to do the Norm MacDonald meme for any libs who think the outlet is being racist for noticing things.

The shared ethnicity of so many perpetrators has prompted inflammatory comments from President Donald Trump and other leaders in Washington, but the statistics are also unsettling for members of the Somali-American community in Minnesota.

Won't anyone think of how the Somali community has been affected by all their stealing?

My favorite part is the next line, where we learn that the "local professor" KSTP interviewed is named "Dr. Ahmed Samatar," a Somali man.

Dr. Ahmed Samatar, professor and Chair of International Studies at Macalester College in St. Paul, welcomes questions from those who ask why Somali people make up such a disproportionate number of those charged with fraud.

I can't wait for KTSP to ask a Pakistani professor in Brighton, England, about why so many Pakistanis are raping British girls.

Samatar blamed his fellow Somalis' behavior on their ongoing civil war, of course.

Most Somalis find themselves either fleeing the country or becoming refugees and locally, internal, displaced people. When the structures that hold the society together begin to melt, you find yourself in a condition where you just kind of have to grab what you can for yourself.

Strange. Lots of displaced peoples have moved to the United States in her 250-year history.

A vanishingly small number, Somalis and Venezuelan gangsters included, have been inclined to steal en masse from the American people.

My argument, therefore, is that I think most of the Somali-Americans and Minnesotan-Somalis are transitioning. And some of them have successfully transitioned to a world in which they embrace the laws and the ethics and the values of the state of Minnesota and the United States. But there are many who are still floundering.

They're "transitioning"!

When you see them living in a 6-bedroom mansion, driving a Beamer, and wearing designer glasses, it's because they don't know any better.

They're in a process, you see. Who are you to criticize their identity as proud trans-national thieves? Fraud is just part of their tradition!

We simply can't expect Somalis to understand that stealing and lying are bad, can we?

Including ... the Somali ambassador to the U.N., the current president of the U.N. Security Council:

Ah, the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Time to invoke the ghost of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn 👇

To be fair to Dr. Samatar, he understands something that the Learing Center owners do not:

I will come to their defense anytime when that's legitimate… But I am also maybe more protective about the state which has been so wonderful to me and others and the country… Citizenship is not just about having papers. Citizenship is about a culture. A deep commitment to the values of a particular place.

A specific people in a specific place with specific values? Like America, which was founded on Christian values and English culture?

Now he's sounding like an alt-right extremist! 😉
