Alex from the Bronx is here to relate to black southerners.
AOC traveled to Atlanta this weekend to take the pulpit at Ebenezer Baptist Church, former home to MLK Jr. and current home church of Georgia senator Raphael Warnock, in order to whip up racial tensions over redistricting.
Here's how that went:
I just came here today to be in beloved community with you all.
I notice AOC wished everyone in the church a happy Mother's Day instead of a non-binary birthing person's day!
I don't take lightly the peril we are facing just one week after the Voting Rights Act was gutted. And in the days since we have learned why the Voting Rights Act existed. As the maps in Tennessee, Louisiana, across this country, as the Supreme Court ... in Virginia overturned the maps 10-1 to literally draw black Americans out of power.
Oh no! You can't draw maps based on race any more! Boo-hoo!
AOC, Warnock, and the congregants at MLK's old church are super mad that they can't draw racist maps. And if you oppose racist maps then YOU are racist and hate black people.
We are living in terrifying times. But we are people of faith.
From here on she transforms into a black preacher lady.
"Brothers and sisters ... Doctor King ... We are not going back."

Some reactions:
AOC will cry about Christian Nationalism, then go preach at MLK's church in the same week. Mmk.
