Southern states are really dropping the ball, and it's not just South Carolina.

Mississippi appears to be joining South Carolina in chickening out.

No special session. No hurry, even though midterms are months away. Sometime between now and 2027, Governor Reeves expects the lines (maybe) to be redrawn. 🥱

The racist lines drawn by Democrats, which were just ruled unconstitutional, still stand ... but the Republicans will get to it eventually!

The great states of Tennessee and Florida seem to be the only southern states that care about winning, AKA saving the Republic.

Oh yeah, did you miss it?

Alabama COULD draw a 6-0 map for Republicans, but guess what, Republican Governor Ivey pushed for a more moderate map.

Louisiana is similarly disappointing.

There's not a single Democrat-run state where the Congress would draw a map like this. It doesn't exist.

Yet Southern Republicans with a chance to save the Congress from having Speaker Hakeem Jeffires?

They don't seem to be bothered by that idea.
