You gotta love a doggo who knows when to show up for her team:

¡Viva México!

Sí, apparently while her owner was posting desperate "missing" flyers and probably checking every alley in Ciudad Victoria, 6-year-old La Gorda decided she wasn't lost ... she was just on an extended vacation — a month-long, soccer-fueled rager, to be exact.

The pooch vanished on May 24th, and owner Ale Garcia put out calls immediately. Searches happened. Worries mounted. And then, boom — Mexico drops a 3-0 win over Czechia in the World Cup, the streets erupt, livestreams are rolling, and who do we spot being triumphantly held high by some ecstatic fan?

La Gorda, in the thick of the celebration, living her best life!

From the New York Post:

There was no sign of the pooch until it remarkably appeared in a live stream last week alongside jubilant Mexico fans celebrating the team's 3-0 victory over Czechia in an area of Tamaulipas' state capital — nine miles from where she was last seen.

Garcia's beloved pooch was held aloft by a beaming fan reveling in the celebration - and the moment was spotted by her brother.

Even dog uncles are coming in clutch these days!

The story has gone even more viral since Mexico kicked Ecuador out of the tournament last night — their first World Cup knockout round win since 1986.

Garcia told reporters it was a whirlwind of emotions:

I wanted to cry, to laugh, to hug her and even scold her at the same time. While we were worried looking for her, she was out partying.

Welcome home, La Gorda!

And if Mexico is going to have any luck in the round of 16 (presumably against the big dogs of England) we're gonna need you to go ahead and get lost for the next four days.
