Did the CIA break into the Director of National Intelligence's office in the dead of night during the government shutdown late last year??

Yes, that's a real Fox News report that broke on Wednesday night. Millions of Americans saw it.

Well, shortly thereafter, Olivia Coleman, the spokeswoman for Tulsi Gabbard, said Gabbard's office was not "raided." Fox News then deleted Jess Waters' clip.

Sen. Mike Lee of Utah replied with this:

Here's what we know.

A CIA whistleblower named James Erdman III went before a Senate hearing on Wednesday and corroborated a 2023 House report that claimed Anthony Fauci pressured U.S. intelligence agencies to hide the fact that Covid escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China (one your tax dollars were funding).

During that hearing, Erdman also accused the CIA of removing "40 boxes of JFK and MKUltra files being processed for declassification by DNI Gabbard." These files were being declassified for the American public per a direct executive order from President Trump, which he signed as one of his first acts in office.

No one has refuted that the CIA took back these "40 boxes." The only thing being refuted is that the CIA "raided" Gabbard's office, based on the report Rep. Paula Anna Luna (R-FL) gave to NewsNation in an interview on Wednesday.

The way Luna phrased her words led many people to believe the raid had 1) just happened and 2) had been a raid on Gabbard's office itself.

Both Luna and NewsNation reporter Katie Pavlich clarified that neither of these are true; HOWEVER, the CIA did take files related to JFK's assassination and the CIA's MKUltra mind control experiments from the National Reconnaissance Office in 2025 "in the middle of the night during the government shutdown."

This brings us back to Sen. Lee's question: Is the CIA withholding files about two of the biggest scandals/conspiracy theories in American history, in direct violation of President Trump's order?

Considering former CIA Director Richard Helms ordered most of the MKUltra files destroyed in 1973, one might think the agency is desperately, and perhaps illegally, trying to protect itself by hiding the truth from the American people (again).

Current CIA Director John Radcliffe, appointed by Trump, has not commented on the matter.

Before throwing the claims away entirely, however, it's worth noting that several reputable sources, including former top CBS News investigative reporter Catherine Herridge, have reported that intelligence agencies are working against Trump and Tulsi Gabbard to protect the secrets of the Swamp. Consider this post from February:

After Erdman testified before Congress on Wednesday, the spokeswoman from the CIA blasted Sen. Rand Paul and the rest of the committee that subpoenaed him without notifying the CIA.

After that, Herridge had this thought:

Given everything we know about the Steel Dossier and rogue bureaucrats/agents who attempted to sabotage Trump's first term ... and given everything we've watched the CIA/Swamp do for decades, leading to hundreds of games/shows/movies where the CIA is up to no good...

You'll have to decide for yourself if you trust the CIA when it says it did nothing wrong.
