Forget abortion, Canada is out here suggesting that we euthanize infants.
Babies. Who can't consent. Who can't speak. Who are, by definition, the most vulnerable humans on the planet. But sure, let's treat them like inconvenient houseplants that aren't thriving.
This unearthed video is apparently from 2022.
More from a Juno News report from May 13:
'These are not concerns from the fringes, but statements from a member of a provincial medical college, recommendations before Parliament, and the reality of MAiD right now in Canada,' says Brandan Tran, Director of Public Affairs and Outreach for Campaign Life Coalition.
'A member of the Quebec College of Physicians formally stated that MAiD ‘may be an appropriate treatment for babies' from birth to one year of age with severe deformities,' he continued.
Canada, are you okay?
I mean...
For the record, the Netherlands has been offering euthanasia for infants since 2005.
In 2005, the Netherlands made the historic decision to legalize assisted death for terminally ill infants under the age of one. Dutch law specifies that, should a baby be born with a severe medical condition that is irremediable and causes 'unbearable' suffering, parents may have the right to terminate their child's life. While many other countries in the world have legalized assisted dying for adults, the Netherlands was the first to legalize it for infants since Nazi Germany.
Wow, Canada, this time you're not the worst!
Good job!
