Arab Muslim migrant Loay Alnaji, a former community college professor, walked up to 69-year-old Paul Kessler at a protest in Thousand Oaks, California, two months after the horrific October 7th terror attack carried out by Hamas jihadis.
Alnaji, a jihad-lover, was angry that Kessler was counter-protesting the mostly peaceful pro-jihad rally. The two traded verbal spars, then witnesses say Alnaji walked over to Kessler and smacked him on the head with his megaphone.
Kessler fell backward on the concrete, busted his head open, and died due to the resulting brain bleed.
Judge Derek Malan offered Alnaji a sweetheart deal after he pled guilty in May to felony involuntary manslaughter and felony battery causing serious bodily injury. On Tuesday, he was sentenced to one year in county jail and two years of probation.

The Ventura County District Attorney's Office said it argued for a state prison sentence and objected to the court's decision to impose one year of jail and probation.
'Mr. Kessler lost his life in a violent attack that took him from his family and his wife of 43 years,' said District Attorney Erik Nasarenko. 'Given the circumstances of this case and the death that resulted, we believe a state prison commitment was the appropriate and just sentence.'
Another judge, Ryan Wright, had been assigned to this case, but he died last year of a heart attack.

Victim impact statements were read prior to the sentencing, including one from Kessler's widow.
'There are no words to describe the pain of losing a husband in such a sudden and violent way,' his widow wrote. 'The grief is relentless. The silence in our house, the absence of his voice, his companionship, his love and the future we had planned together are losses I carry with me every day.'
Just imagine the prison sentence Judge Derek Malan would have given a white Trump voter who punched and killed a Palestinian supporter.
